Hello world! This is by first blog entry! This blog is directly related to my website which can be found here. Since this is my first entry, let me introduce myself and what I do.
My name is Tom Kostes, I am a Portland, Oregon based Photographer and Digital Artist. My job, as I see it, is to provide interesting and provocative images that will enhance your home, leisure and work environments. I look forward to hearing from you and your ideas, and interests regarding my work. Feel free to contact me with any special requests for images not currently represented on my site.
The above image is one that I captured on a recent visit to the coast of Maine. To my mind it represents the charm of place, as well as, an intimate view into the life of these hardy souls. Here is a lobster man going about his daily business in the midst of scenic beauty hard to ignore. I have subtly altered the image to reflect a “painterly” effect, making it a wonderful slice of life that would add life and warmth to any wall.
Well, that’s it for my first post. Here’s hoping many of you with an interest in contemporary digital art and photography will find me here.
